Welcome Reception
Wednesday, September 25 | 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Start your on-site experience off on the right foot by attending the Welcome Reception on Wednesday, Septemeber 25. Throughout this reception, you will have an opportunity to connect with companies that are exhibiting, devour delicious drinks and appetizers. Each attendee will receive one free drink ticket upon entry.

In order to destress, you have to dance it out… at least, that’s what the doctors on Grey’s Anatomy claim. Use this fun, cardio-centered class to shimmy and show off your best (or worst – this is a no judgement zone) dance moves.

Poster Reception

Want to learn more about exciting research and quality improvement projects from cardiopulmonary rehabilitation researchers and clinicians? Join us for AACVPR’s second-annual Poster Reception! Browse posters on a variety of topics related to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and chat with the teams behind these projects to gain insight into their research objectives.
New! For the first time, AACVPR will issue a series of poster awards for those presenting at the Annual Meeting. Poster Reception attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite poster to win the new People’s Choice Award, so make sure to attend to cast your ballot!
Additionally, a Best Overall Poster Award that will be selected by members of the Research Committee based on the poster’s scientific merit, innovation and visual presentation. The Research Committee will also select at least one additional poster for the following awards to recognize other impactful submissions: Scientific Merit Award, Innovation Award and Visual Presentation Award. Award Winners will be presented with a ribbon and a certificate.

Sunrise Yoga
Friday, September 27 | 7:00 - 7:45 a.m.
Evidence supports the effects of posture, thoracic mobility and inspiratory muscle training on breathing. Pulmonary rehab (PR) therapists generally incorporate stretching, breathing exercises and strength training using weights, Thera-bands and inspiratory muscle training devices as part of the PR intervention. That said, it only felt right to incorporate a little yoga into our event.
